The economic climate continues to perplex economists and consumers alike; however, one thing is certain: as ever, it is a challenging time for restaurants to determine how and what they market. Here are a few low-lift ways to help restaurant owners and marketers get a leg up and bring more business in the door in 2023.
- Make your restaurant a hub of activity – and let your customers know about it. If you hold events, host parties, game nights, themed meals, etc., you’re doing more for your customer than simply feeding them! Make sure you give your existing customers every possible opportunity to learn about your special events and promotions. Digital signage, social media, and email campaigns are all great places to keep fans of your restaurant in the know.
- Update your website. Does your site have your most current menu? Make sure it’s easy for customers to find you online and reward them for looking you up by centering special offers.
- Experiment with discounts. As one expert commentator put it, “people need to feel welcome, valued, and cared for.” Is there a signature dish you can periodically mark down for your most valued customers? How can you empathize with them if their financial situation has taken a downturn without sacrificing good business?
